Kiss: 10 Awesome '80's Songs You've Never Heard

9. "Dark Light" from Music From The Elder, 1981

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlPhH_GVrdY If we were to compile a list of the Top 10 Ace Frehley songs of all time (hmmm) this track would surely make the cut. Frehley aficionados will instantly recognize the Spaceman's style from the beginning staccato chord progression to a middle section boasting a tasty display of just about every lead technique in the Ace arsenal. It's also one of the rare instances that Frehley's voice really shines; typically his vocals are adequate to the task but on "Dark Light" they really are excellent. The tune is a head-banging full body experience reminiscent in places of the vibe in Frehley's solo hit "New York Groove". If you haven't heard this one in a while prepare to get rocked with an Ace induced cat-that-swallowed-the-canary grin spread across your face.
