10 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do At Walt Disney World

There's more than just rides at Disney.

For the majority, Walt Disney World is just a theme park and nothing more. It's about riding the attractions, meeting princesses and eating copious amounts of unhealthy food. But people who view the resort this way are missing out on experiencing the true joys of the happiest place on Earth.

There is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World Resort that doesn't involve heading into one of the four parks. It really is possible to spend your whole vacation on Disney property and never once step into the Magic Kingdom (though you'd be a crazy fool not to do visit once per vacation!)

The great thing is that most of these activities are available to all visitors. To enjoy the things that the resort has to offer you don€™t always need to be staying in a Disney owned hotel... Just stroll up and you can join in the fun.

Next time you go to Disney, try something new...

10. Golf

The Walt Disney World resort has four different golf courses for you to enjoy.

Three of the courses are of a championship level and have been known to host the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour and USGA events. Why not try golfing on the same course that Tiger Woods has played on?

The fourth is a 9 hole walking course suitable for everyone in the family.

You don't have to be staying at Walt Disney World to book yourself a tee time. Those staying offsite can book themselves in as a day guest.

Prices start at $39.90 (plus tax) for the family course and $105.00 for the pro courses.

If serious golf just isn't your thing, why not try out the four mini golf courses?

Disney World has two mini golf complexes, each with two courses.

Located near Blizzard Beach Water park you will find the Winter Summerland courses. With two 18 hole courses, Winter and Summer, this mini golf centre is designed around Christmas. The idea is that Santa decided to build his elves a summer escape, and what is a vacation without golf?

Just over the road from Disney's Swan and Dolphin Resort is Fantasia Gardens and Miniature Golf. Based on the Walt Disney classic movie, Fantasia, the two courses here have a musical element. Whilst the Fantasia Gardens course is more your typical crazy golf course, the Fairways course is really just a scaled down golf course. Perfect if you don't have much time to get a full round of golf in but want to practise your putting.

Prices to play are $14 for adults, $12 for kids.
