When Universal Orlando Resort opened the Wizarding World of Harry Potter back in 2010 they created a place where fans could come together and celebrate.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an immersive environment that makes you feel like you have stepped right into the movies. You can explore Hogwarts, grab a Butterbeer and even check out Knockturn Alley.

Even though Universal's Japan and Hollywood parks have since opened their own version, for many the Orlando park will always be the true home of the Wizarding World.

Here are 10 ways that we think that Universal Orlando Resort has proven that it really is the true home of Harry Potter.

10. Hogwarts Was Transformed For Christmas

Universal completely transformed Hogwarts this past Christmas with snow covered rooftops and a true festive wonderland thanks to a state of the art projection show.

The beautiful show of lights was accompanied by a soundtrack that featured music from the movies that was orchestrated to fit perfectly with the show.

The projection show was a huge hit with fans, with crowds queueing to get into Hogsmeade just to get a chance to see the castle lit up for Christmas.

Universal have also just announced that there will be a second projection show coming soon. No details have yet been revealed but it is exciting to see what they have in store.
