8 Reasons To Be Excited For Universal's A Celebration Of Harry Potter

7. Harry Potter Expo

Celebration of Harry Potter
Universal Orlando

Although not technically called a convention, no meeting of like minded fans would be complete without an expo.

Located at Universal Studios Florida, the Expo will be open for the whole weekend and includes booths, displays and exhibits.

You can also use the queue as an opportunity to be sorted into your house (but more on that later). How often do you find an interactive queue that you really want to do?!

Some of the exhibits that fans can enjoy this year include:

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London- The Making of Harry Potter: in this exhibit you will see props that appeared in the movies as well as learn just what went into making the films.

MinaLima: Graphic Designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima return to the 2017 where they will display their various props and prints from both the Harry Potter series as well as their latest work on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Pottermore and Audible: As well as exciting daily announcements and news from J.K.Rowling's Pottermore, Audible are carrying out the "Audiable Recall...the ultimate audio challenge".

Scholastic are also returning with trivia and a fan message wall and there will be images on display from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Brand new to this year guests can use virtual reality to step into the world of Newt Scamander. Using Google's new Daydream View virtual reality headset guests can cast spells, solve puzzles and meet some of the fantastic beasts from the film.

From experiencing the Expo last year, I can say it's an absolute must for any Harry Potter fan. There were free giveaways and so much going on that it's hard to know what to do next.

Once piece of advice is get to the Expo early. We arrived at about mid-day and the queues were huge. We decided to wait until the afternoon and although the Expo was much quieter we had missed out on a number of the free giveaways. Despite missing out on a Gryffindor paper tie, the Expo was brilliant and you should plan to spend a good chunk of time there.
