When 4 year-old Chelsea Herline wasn't well enough to attend the Magic Kingdom on the last day of her vacation in 1994, her Dad put away her unused ticket in a safe in his basement.

22 years later when cleaning the basement he found her ticket and decided that he would bring it with them on their upcoming trip to Florida.

As these older tickets didn't have an expiration date the Herline family decided to try their luck and see if it would still be valid enough to grant them permission into the Magic Kingdom. And as if by Disney magic, the ticket was still useable and she could spend the day in the park!

Telling her story to Fox 35, Herline explained how she got in;

So I walked up, and there was a girl at the ticket counter, and I approached her with a big smile and I said hi, I have a really old ticket, will you let me in, and so she said, 'Of course!'"

As it was just her ticket she spent the day in the park enjoying the all attractions by herself, she even wore a First Time Visit In Forever Pin to celebrate the day!

She went on to say "I was very surprised that it worked, but at the same time, the ticket didn't have an expiration date on it, so I thought there was a small chance they would let me in, but I didn't realise it could be that easy."

In 2015 Walt Disney World got rid of the no expiry tickets and now all tickets run out 14 days from first use, whether all days are used or not. Disney do continue to honour any unused tickets that were bought before the expiration date kicked in.

Best get looking in drawers for any old tickets, it's a good time of year for a trip to Walt Disney World!
