The Harry Potter official fansite Pottermore has exclusively revealed a sneak peak of a new rollercoaster at Universal Orlando Resort.
Coming to Hogsmeade at the resort's Islands of Adventure park, the new coaster promises to take visitors on all new adventure. The family-friendly thrill ride will immerse you like no other Universal coaster. Guests can expect to encounter some familiar faces and magical creatures as they wizz around the tracks.
Although very little information has been released about the new ride, the artwork released on Pottermore does appear to confirm that the attraction will take place in the Forbidden Forest. So far there hasn't been any confirmation as to what the name of the new coaster will be, or a specific opening date just yet, other than 2019.
Rumours are that guests will fly through Hagrid's Hut and will encounter all sorts of weird and wonderful beings that call the Forbidden Forrest their home. There will be twists, turns and falls making this not your average family-friendly coaster. Although it'll be hard to replace the Dragon Challenge coasters, it's going to be exciting to try out a brand new attraction.
Universal Orlando Resort have also announced that there will not a be a Celebration of Harry Potter in 2019, but that there will be even more Harry Potter news from the parks that they have yet to reveal.
It looks like 2019 will be the year of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.
