The Fermi Paradox: A 10 Step Guide To Finding Aliens

Are we alone? The Fermi Paradox is just the beginning.

From the earliest times, we have looked up into the sky and our imaginations have populated it with either gods or aliens or both.

Despite our best efforts, however, neither of these sky-dwellers have ever been proven to exist, leading the greatest thinkers from every generation to ask, "Where are all the aliens at?"

It could be that the universe is teeming with life, in which case, why haven't we met any of it yet? Alternatively, the Earth is literally the only place in the entire, infinite universe, where matter has happened to develop consciousness. If this is the case, then what in the name of voodoo makes us and our damp little space rock so special?

Whether we're alone in the vast universe, or we have company, either option is a potentially terrifying prospect. Humanity's greatest minds have been pondering either eventuality, but it turns out that this is one of those things that just gets more complicated the more you think about it.

Perhaps a good place to start would be with the Fermi Paradox...
