10 Dangers Daniel Cormier Poses To Jon Jones

The most talked about fight of 2014.

The monumental rematch was set for UFC 178 between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson. People were generally excited, but nobody was expecting any monumental trash talk or memorable pre-fight moments. Jones has always been an enigma in terms of his personality. He can be either very outspoken or respectful. Gustafsson has taken a few shots at Jones in believing that he should already be champion. Unfortunately, Gustafsson was injured and we felt robbed in what was going to be a sensational rematch. Daniel Cormier entered the fray and the excitement rose back up for fans. Some were more adamant in believing that Cormier poses more of a threat and will bring more enjoyable pre-fight hype. Others were still disheartened by the injury bug striking again. Then from out of nowhere, Cormier shoves Jones at a pre-fight press conference in Las Vegas following Jones sticking his head out and chaos ensues in a hotel lobby. Punches were thrown, a group security was needed, and the head of the UFC public relations Dave Sholler becomes a national icon. The brawl has captivated everyone in wanting to see this fight. For the first time in quite some time for the UFC, legitimate animosity surrounds a title fight. There isn't much of a better feeling in the fight game than an actual beef between two even opponents finally being settled. For the first time in quite some time, not everyone is backing Jones to win this fight. Cormier is being recognized as the biggest threat of Jones' title reign. This will more than likely be the most talked about fight in 2014, along with the most bought pay-per-view. That€™s how dangerous and marketable Cormier has become. He poses several dangers, which I€™ll be breaking down through this list.
