You may have been expecting to see a certain Romelu Lukaku here, but to be fair to the Belgian his first season at United was impressive - and his mooted move to Juventus may even see the Reds get Paulo Dybala in exchange!

How do you go from being one of the best players in the Premier League, to a complete and utter laughing stock?

That's the question so many Manchester United fans are asking themselves every time they see Alexis Sanchez step foot on the Old Trafford pitch.

Given that Alexis arrived at United in a swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move to Arsenal, there actually wasn't a transfer fee involved in bringing the Chile international to Manchester.

Where Sanchez is seen as an expensive flop, then, is in the utterly ludicrous wages he pulls in each and every week.

Upon signing for the Red Devils in January 2018, Alexis agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract that sees him receive a basic wage of £350,000 per week, which goes up to £500,000 per week with bonuses and add-ons.

In total, that clocks in at a jaw-dropping £26 million per year!

If a signing doesn't work out for a club, there's always the option to move the player on to a new team. Unfortunately for Manchester United, nobody in their right mind is going to offer Alexis Sanchez anywhere close to what he's currently receiving at the Theatre of Dreams.

By the time all is said and done with Alexis' time at United, he could well prove to be the most expensive flop that the club has ever seen. Just think, that contract in total is going to be worth an insane £117 million!
