With the new Premier League season just about to start, we are reminded that some of the best strikers football has ever known have created their most memorable moments in the Premier League. Players such as Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona and Alan Shearer and many more have graced the Premier League although as these players have left three others have stepped in.
With the Premier League less than 3 weeks away here is 3 strikers that will make an impact next season and will create history all over again.
3. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has already established himself a key player in the Premier League. Rooney’s 129 goals in 251 league games for Manchester United sends out a message to defenders everywhere.
Last season was an explosive campaign for the 26-year-old and despite having a poor summer for England; Rooney was on top form at Old Trafford.
Rooney’s 34 league appearances last season led to 27 goals, if this record is anything to go by Manchester United will be set for a successful season. Rooney does however tend to lack consistency from season to season, his league record came in the 2010/11 campaign with 27 goals, his least amount of goals scored came in the 2004/5 and 2010/11 with just 11 to his name.
Rooney looks to play the majority of next season and could well be lined up next to Welbeck and Hernandez but also possibly Robin van Persie, depending how the transfer market plays out.
