5 Fights For Andrei Arlovski To Take Next

Arlovski is 2-0 on the comeback trail. Who should he take on next?

UFC Fight Night 51: Silva vs. Arlovski Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski was victorious in a big way Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 51, knocking out Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva in the first round of their scheduled five round main event. Suddenly, Arlovski looks like the fighter he was of old, and his victory over the top 5 Bigfoot has the 14th ranked "Pitbull" very relevant in the division once again. The way to go from here is up - but what fights are there out there for Arlovski to take? If the UFC wanted to play it safe, they could put the Belarussian fighter in against someone like Matt Mitrione, but "Meathead" isn't even ranked in the UFC's official rankings, and given Arlovski is suddenly working his way back up, it would seem like a step backwards to be paired up against an unranked fighter. Who is there out there that is ranked and worthy of a bout with the "Pitbull" yet not too far out of his reach? Well, there are in fact a few options. Keep in mind that as Bigfoot was a former title challenger and in the top five, another win for Arlovski could actually signal a title shot - something that is both unbelievable yet relatively possible in the thin heavyweight division which lacks marketable names at the moment. Arlovski is known, and as a result has a quicker path to the title than most. So, who's it going to be? Lets take a look at five fights for Andrei Arlovski to take next.
