I understand that you pick the best players out of Great Britain to form a GB side, but it’s a bit harsh not including any Scottish players. I can see the reasons why no Northern Irish players were pick as there players have no real potency at top level, but Scotland do. There player quality is weaker than the likes of Wales and England, but a GB side must incorporate the image of Great Britain, not a bit of it .The Aston villa man Barry Bannan would have been a great representative for Scotland, he a central midfielder who can play out wide and has a great range of passing on his left foot. His style of football would have added another dimension to the squad as he can be a threat with his vision and set-pieces. He’s been compare to Xavi by previous managers, which might be a bit overstretched, but being 22 he has time.
4. Joe Cole

Remember him? Amazing at West Ham bought by Chelsea, amazing at Chelsea, left, and it’s safe to say flopped at Liverpool, but going to French side Lille has resurrected Joe Cole as he looks to give Liverpool another stab with Brendan Rodgers managing. With Rooney suspended for the first two games of Euros we needed a player who could unlock teams and someone who possessed an attacking threat we should have taken a risk on Joe Cole. He`s comfortable on the ball and can keep possession of it, which we couldn’t do and he’s been one of the closest thing we`ve had to a Spanish player in recent years. He didn’t make the cut for Poland-Ukraine but I thought he`d have a great chance for GB. People look down at the French league, and if Joe Cole wasn’t performing there then where would he perform? But leaving a season inform is a great way to enter a tournament.

I disagree with all of the people claiming that Beckham should have gone to the Olympics because he was such a great ambdassador and did his bit to help get us the Games. However would you put Lord Coe in the mens 100 metres? Exactly. Beckham isn’t good enough anymore and would be a wasted wildcard spot in my opinion. I agree that Bannan should’ve gone, Giggs should not have. Cole definitely should’ve gone, I follow French football a bit and he has been top notch for Lille this season.
My reasons for including Beckham were not because he got us the games, but because he a good player. He`s not the player he was at Manchester united or Real Madrid but is still good. His game was never based on pace or strength which can be lost when you get older, his game was based on technique, which you don’t really lose. When you saw Pirlo for Italy in the Euros he wasn’t darting all over the pitch, he held his position and sprayed passes, and was able to control the game. Beckham does that for Galaxy and would have done that for GB. Anyway thank you for agreeing with most of my choices.
