With Manchester United just missing out on the Premier League title last season after being pipped by rivals Manchester City on the final day of the campaign, United have taken vital steps in the transfer market to try and strengthen for the new season.
The Red Devils have improved their younger players, changed their approach to the game and even signed two of the most sought after players in Europe. With all this taken into account, here are five reasons why Manchester United will be the next to lift the Premier League trophy in May.
5. They Have The Best Strike Force In The League
Having splashed out £24 million on Arsenal’s key man Robin van Persie this month, Manchester United now have an incredible strike force that will look to untangle defences and score a hefty amount of goals.United now have strength in depth up front with Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez all ready to grab the goals.
The Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson has built a strike force that is arguably one of the best in the league. Sir Alex has a perfect mix when it comes to his attack; he has youth, experience, determination and a great goal record.
Ferguson’s new ‘Fab Four’ have been related in the media to Sir Alex’s 1999 strike force of Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole, Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. If the 2012 strikers can match the performance of the 1999-year then Manchester United could win the league and even win the treble again.
