6 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. Saint Preux

Lets take a look at how UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. Saint Preux might play out next Saturday in Bangor!

UFC Fight Night 47 Bader vs. Saint Preux We've had a lull in the world of the UFC over the past few weeks, and while there have been Bellator and WSOF events to fill the gap, in general, much more has happened outside of the cage than inside it. Most of this is due to the cancellation of UFC 176, which was to kick off August, but even still, there was to be a week without an event on the schedule, something that is becoming more and more of a rarity with the promotion these days. Well, the calm before the storm is over, as the UFC returns next weekend, this time in Bangor, Maine, with UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. Saint Preux, numerically UFC Fight Night 47. Following that, the promotion will once against hold two events in a single day a week later, with UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le and UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Dos Anjos both taking place August 23rd. For now, however, our focus remains solidly on August 16th, and the Bader vs. Saint Preux card. Both these fighters are coming off solid performances that reestablished their place in the division. Saint Preux proved himself to be a true player at light heavyweight when he snapped the arm of Ryan Jimmo at UFC 174 in June, while Bader showed that he could dominate a former champion at the same event, controlling ex-Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Rafael Cavalcante for three solid rounds in a unanimous decision victory. Calls for Bader to meet Saint Preux began almost immediately after that event, and both fighters quickly agreed, making the headlining fight of UFC Fight Night 47 probably the easiest match-making exercise of the year to date for Joe Silva. Bader vs. Saint Preux is not the only intriguing match on the card however. Ross Pearson returns, coming off a complete robbery of a loss to Diego Sanchez back in June, and Tim Boetsch attempts to salvage any credibility he once had as a possible title contender in the UFC's middleweight division. There are six fights to examine on the main card, so lets take a look at how UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. Saint Preux might play out next Saturday in Bangor!
