6 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night - MacDonald vs. Saffiedine

The second card in a double header Saturday!

Does "Ares" deserve a title shot? Is he still the heir apparent to Georges St. Pierre? These questions are likely to be answered at UFC Fight Night 54 Saturday night, as the UFC heads to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for its first event in the province. This is the second card of a double header on Saturday, and arguably has the biggest fight of the bunch in Rory MacDonald vs. Tarec Saffiedine, but the card has undergone a bit of a last minute shake-up, and the supporting cast isn't much better than what the UFC has planned for Sweden earlier in the day on a Fight Pass exclusive. Off the card are flyweight Louis Gaudinot and bantamweight Rob Font. Gaudinot was expected to open up the main card against Patrick Holohan, who has now been dropped down to the prelims. Font's opponent, Mitch Gangon, now opens the main card against Roman Salazar, making his debut, and Nordine Taleb, a veteran of not one but two Ultimate Fighter shows, who lost both but showed enough heart to get into the UFC, makes his return and is bumped up to the main card. All this turmoil may be a bit confusing, so lets see if we can sort some of it out for you in our preview of UFC Fight Night 54, and give you some idea of what fights you won't want to miss.
