6 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Arlovski

The UFC returns to Brazil with a rematch from Strikeforce as the main event.

UFC Fight Night 51: Silva vs. Arlovski The UFC's next event sees them returning to Brazil yet again for UFC Fight Night 51 in Brasilia, a card that will feature the second bout between heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva. Their first meeting took place under the Strikforce banner in 2010, and ended with a unanimous decision victory for Bigfoot. This time around, Arlovski will be looking for redemption, while Silva has stated he's looking to finish the Pitbull. Silva will definitely be motivated, headling the card in his home country, which may give him the edge over Arlovski, who won his return bout to the UFC by taking a close decision over Brendan Schaub at UFC 174. The rest of the card features mainly Brazilian fighters in bouts where you can expect them to be favoured, a troubling trend in the UFC of late, and if you're not a hardcore fan, you may want to tune in late for the main (or perhaps co-main event). However, one other interesting fight will be opening the card: a women's bantamweight bout between tenth ranked Jessica Andrade and the debuting Larissa Pachesco. This even airs exclusively on UFC Fight Pass kicking off at 5PM EST, so if you are a Fight Pass subscriber and plan on tuning in, it may be a long evening - but if nothing else, the main event should bring fireworks. Arlovski's return was panned as a dull fight in which he failed to engage, and his opponent (Schaub) raised the argument that the decision should have gone his way. As a result, he's looking for redemption not just over Bigfoot due to their Strikeforce history, but for his UFC return as well. So, lets take a look at six main card predictions for UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Arlovski (UFC Fight Night 51).
