Being the president of a multi-billion dollar organisation probably comes with a fair few headaches. If the way Vince McMahon has behaved over the years is anything to go by, it's fair to say that it takes a very certain type of person to run a travelling circus like the UFC or WWE.
Since becoming Head honcho of the UFC, Dana White has had an incalculable impact on the sport of MMA as a whole. When he and the Fertitta brothers bought the UFC in 2001 it was shunned by most mainstream media and blacklisted from pay-per-view.
White turned it around, however, but as seen with McMahon and other famous promoters such as boxing's Don King, to successfully run an organisation full of testosterone-charged takes someone who is prepared to be an alpha male amongst alpha males. (And alpha females for that matter.)
Having such an important role within a company is always guaranteed to bring with it some controversy, and like his fellow promoters, White has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind after a scandal. In fact, there have been a number of times where his notorious temper has been caught on camera.
