He was also left wanting when defending the same set-piece, from which Hangeland headed home. The sighs of relief rung out and Arsenal quickly found the bounce that had been missing from their step, carrying the attacking threat into the dressing room at half time. Crystal Palace have time to focus and lick their wounds during the half time break but Arsenal will now have their tales up and will almost certainly start with a much higher tempo for the second half.
