Arsenal 2-0 Napoli: Mesut Ozil Shines As The Gunners Dispatch Of Napoli

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil put in a man of the match performance to help seal a comfortable Champions League victory for his side against a strong Napoli outfit. The German playmaker opened the scoring inside 10 minutes with a superbly taken side-footed volley from good work on the right-hand side from Aaron Ramsey. It was his first goal for his new side since his arrival from last season's Champions League semi-finalists Real Madrid. Ozil then turned provider in the 15th minute after a move on the right led to the 24-year old weaving his way through the Napoli defence and picking out Giroud in the box - and the Frenchman finished from close range. The hosts had a number of opportunities to add to the two-goal deficit, but missed the target on many occasions. Napoli showed little sign they could force their way back into the game, with many long-range attempts failing to test 'keeper Wojciech Szczesny, and Arsenal eventually ran out deserving winners. Manager Arsene Wenger praised his side for a convincing performance against the Serie A outfit, and singled out Mesut Ozil for his notable showing for the Gunners. He was involved in all the play in the first-half, and has continued his great start to life as an Arsenal player.
