Arsenal Transfer News: Aaron Ramsey To Fulham?

Fulham are going to test Arsenal's resolve by making a transfer bid for Wales captain Aaron Ramsey. Martin Jol is on the lookout for a replacement for Danny Murphy who this week completed this free transfer move to Blackburn Rovers on a two-year deal after his contract at Fulham expired. According to The Daily Mail, The Cottagers are preparing to make an ambitious move for 21-year-old Ramsey who despite being settled at the Emirates, he may find less first team opportunities available to him next season with Arsene Wenger looking to bolster his squad with new recruits. However Wenger knows how much promise Ramsey has, who is years away from hitting his peak. He is also unlikely to listen to loan offers as he would prefer Ramsey developed at The Gunners and forced his way through to the first team, with Wenger often putting faith in youth. Wenger signed Ramsey from Cardiff City for a fee of £5 million in 2008 and although he did spend half of the 2010/2011 season on loan at his former club, Wenger is likely unavailable for a repeat of this next season.
