Arsenal Transfer News: Barca Star On Loan To Emirates?

Express. According to them, the Gunners have been long term admirers of Cuenca and were interested in signing him in the past before he suffered a serious knee injury. The 21-year old Spaniard hasn't played for Barcelona this season and the current La Liga leaders have deemed a loan move vital to aid his recovery by providing him with regular first team action. Added to that, Barca have a galaxy of stars at the Nou Camp already and so a loan move would appear to suit move parties. According to Spanish football site Inside Spanish Football, they suggest that Cuenca would be a good addition to Arsene Wenger's side with his style of play complimenting Arsenal's attacking, fast-paced approach. It is believed Wenger will firm up his interest in the player before the transfer window slams shut in a weeks' time. Meanwhile, Wenger has been dealt a blow in his hopes to land striker Fernando Llorente from Athletic Bilbao. The Spaniard has signed for Juventus on a four-year contract and the Frenchman was hoping to land him on a free when his contract with Bilbao expired in June. Would Cuenca make a good addition to Arsenal's squad? Share your thoughts below.
