Arsenal Transfer News: "Disrespected" Sagna On His Way Out

Is the Frenchman going to be the next high-profile Arsenal player to leave the North London club? According to the MailOnline, Bacary Sagna feels €˜disrespected€™ by Arsenal's offer of a 12-month extension to his current deal, which is set to expire in 2014, and the French international has told his team-mates that he expects to leave the club at the end of the season. The report states that Sagna is looking for one last big contract, since he is approaching 30, but that the Gunners board are refusing to improve on his current wage of £60,000 a week. They have concerns about offering the defender a long-term deal thanks to Sagna's injury record, as he suffered two broken legs in a year. The defender also angered his manager earlier this season, according to the Mail, by publicly criticising the club for selling star striker Robin van Persie to Manchester United and Alex Song to Barcelona during a turbulent summer transfer window. The tough tackling Frenchman signed for Arsenal from Auxerre back in 2007 for a fee reported by L'Equipe to be in the region of ‚9 million, and has gone on to make more than 200 performances for the club since. He has developed a strong reputation among fans, and earlier this year Arsene Wenger told the official Arsenal site that he believed the player to be the best right-back in the Premier League. What do you think Arsenal fans? Should Arsenal break the bank to give Sagna a better contract, or is it time to replace the Frenchman? Share your thoughts below.
