Arsenal are considering a surprise late move for Chelsea winger Florent Malouda, according to a report at Caught Offside.
The summer transfer window slams shut next Friday and Caught Offside reports that the 32-year-old Frenchman could join a number of his international friends and team-mates at the North London club.
The site claims that the veteran forward is a player that manager Arsene Wenger believes can offer experience on both flanks and offer a “know-how” attitude to youngsters like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. They also report that he will be offered only a one-year-contract, in-keeping with Wenger’s usual policy of giving short term deals to players over 30.
Malouda is entering his sixth season at Stamford Bridge but has lately become something of a fringe player and only made 11 Premier League starts last season. Indeed boss Roberto Di Matteo has brought in the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Marko Marin and most recently Victor Moses who can all play in that wide position, which could hurt Malouda’s first team chances even further this summer.
If Malouda were to make the switch to Arsenal, he would join his international colleagues Laurent Koscielny, Bacary Sagna, Alou Diarra, Olivier Giroud and Sebastien Squillaci at the club.

alou diarra plays for west ham not arsenal im sure you meant vassiriki abou diaby
why are we listening to anything you say if you think alou diarra plays for arsenal. also wenger said he was only going to sign special players. and malouda is far from that.
Terrible article learn your sources and names of players first
Pathetic
The only positions Wenger is looking to strengthen is in the center-midfield and fullback areas. The last place he’d be looking to add is on the wings, another nothing article from a terrible source selling smoke on french players linking up with international teammates.
We ar nt going to give Maluda 2 ASENaL…up chelsea
