Arsenal are set to complete the surprise signing of Spartak Moscow midfielder Kim Kallstom on-loan until the end of the season, according to BBC Sport. Wenger is looking for a short-term option in midfield after confirming Aaron Ramsey will be out for another six weeks with a thigh injury, whilst Flamini and Jack Wilshere are two currently unavailable. "We are trying to bring one body in because of Ramsey's setback," Wenger told the press earlier today. Arsenal are currently in negotiations with the Moscow club and are confident that they can complete the signing of the Swede - known for his powerful shooting and range of passing - before the 11pm GMT deadline. Wenger's team have crictical games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich upcoming in February - as they look to push for their first major trophy since 2005. Kallstrom is currently plying his trade in Russia with Spartak but is best known for his spell at Lyon - the midfielder made over 200 appearances for the French outfit where he won two Ligue 1 titles and two Coup de France titles, he also helped Lyon two the Champions League semi-final. Kallstrom is also a regular starter for the Swedish national team making 108 appearances and scoring 16 goals. The Daily Mail are also claiming that Miroslav Klose is also a target for Wenger who is look for a short-term option to ease the burden on French striker Oliver Giroud. Veteran Klose is currently contracted to Lazio and has scored five goals this season for the Italian side. Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Julian Draxler will remain at FC Schalke 04 for the time being.
