Arsenal Transfer News: Van Persie To Join Man City After Tevez Sale?

Robin Van Persie's future at Arsenal could be decided this week as Manchester City prepare a £30 million bid for the PFA Player of the Year.

The Mail on Sunday reports that controversial Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez looks set to complete his move away from Eastlands this week to join Italian giants AC Milan which releases the funds for City to go out and make an astronomical offer for the Arsenal captain. The Premier League champions are expected to make a huge push for Van Persie this week before the Dutch Euro 2012 star leaves for Asia as part of Arsenal's pre-season tour. City don't want him to go over there and would much prefer he trained with the City squad in the coming weeks. City are also aware that Manchester United manager Sir. Alex Ferguson has not yet given up hope of signing Van Persie and are hopeful they can lure Arsenal into a cut-price sale for the 29-year-old given his current contract situation. Van Persie will return to Arsenal to begin pre-season training this week and as we reported yesterday he is due for a "heart-to-heart" meeting with Arsene Wenger and the club's owners with the Gunners desperate for their prized asset to commit his future to the Emirates.
