Arsenal vs Manchester United - Match Preview

The biggest game of the weekend is Sunday afternoon's 4pm Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United...

Team News

Arsene Wenger is ruing the loss of 10 first teamers for today's huge game. Thierry Henry will miss out on his first league start for Arsenal in five years with a calf problem. Mikel Arteta is out with the same problem and Thomas Vermaelen is a huge doubt for the same reason. Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh are playing away at the African Nations Cup. Also missing are a slew of more defenders - Kieran Gibbs (groin), Bacary Sagna (ankle), Francis Coquelin (hamstring), Carl Jenkinson (back), Andre Santos (ankle) with midfielders Abou Diaby (hamstring) and Jack Wilshere (ankle). Manchester United meanwhile see both England international defenders Chris Smalling and Phil Jones return after missing last weekend's victory over Bolton through injury. No such luck though for Anderson who is unavailable again after suffering a training-ground injury. Tom Cleverley (ankle) and Ashley Young (knee) may be back in a fortnight but Michael Owen is a long term injury problem.
