Arsenal Transfer News: Robin Van Persie Says Fans Aren't Angry At Him For Man Utd Move

Deluded former skipper Robin Van Persie claims Arsenal fans weren't angry at him for making the switch to Manchester United.

£24 million move to Old Trafford today and claimed there were "no hard feelings" as he departed from his the club he spent seven years at.

€œIt€™s just uncertain elements that we had a different view on. That€™s life. No-one is angry at me and I€™m not angry at them,€ he said. €œIt is always difficult to find the perfect match but I feel this is the perfect match. €œManchester United breathes football. If you look at all the players from Manchester United, the stadium, the manager €“ my choice was made very soon in my mind.€
Whether or not Arsenal fans actually feel the way Van Persie claims is another question and What Culture aren't really convinced. There have been reports of some Arsenal fans taking their anger at Van Persie's desire to join Manchester United by setting fire to the shirts that carried their former hero's name and number on the back. We are also surprised that Van Persie has made these comments as he will have seen at first hand the reactions the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Ashley Cole, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy have all received since they left Arsenal in pursuit of more money and the chance to win trophies elsewhere. Manchester United are set to welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford on Saturday November 12th. Whether Van Persie feels the same way on November 13th as he does now after he has heard the reaction of the Arsenal supporters, we can't yet say. source - BBC Sport
