Barcelona Closing In On Liverpool, Chelsea And Man Utd Target

European clubs are lining up for Arda Turan.

Barcelona are in advanced talks to complete a move for Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan, according to The Express. The Spanish champions look favourites to land the Turkey skipper, after Turan's agent revealed the midfielder wanted to leave the club in the summer. Recent reports suggested that Premier League trio Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United were ready to battle Barcelona for the 28-year-old's signature - however Barca clear to be edging ahead in the race. Turan has been at Atletico since singing from Galatasaray in July 2011. Since then, he's gone on to to make 127 La Liga appearances for Colchoneros, playing a huge part in the club's 2013-14 title success. The Turkish international's contract has got a £29 million release clause. It is still unsure whether Barca will match Atletico's price tag for their star. Luis Enrique's side are also favourites to land the much sought-after Paul Pogba from Juventus. Rumours from Spain suggest that representatives of the Catalan giants are set to fly to Italy this evening to discuss a potential deal. The Champions League winners are set to spend big over the summer to fend off an expected title challenge from Rafael Benitez's Real Madrid next season. If Barca do indeed complete the capture of Arda Turan, he will certainly provide Enrique with a different dimension in the wide areas.
