Champions League Draw - Chelsea's Get Valencia, Barcelona vs. AC Milan

Man Utd get favourable group, Man City's could be tricky with Bayern Munich but will fancy their chances, Arsenal should also have no problems qualifying. Plus Barcelona and AC Milan drawn out together in mouth-watering tie.

The rather bloated Champions League draw that every year seems to take about three times longer than absolutely necessary has finally finished in Monaco and Manchester City fans, in their first participation in the competition, must have been sweating that they nearly ended up in what would have been a group of death alongside giants of Europe Barcelona and AC Milan. In the end they dodged that bullet (and Barcelona/AC Milan certainly did too) as the obscure team BATE Borisov (bet you don't know what league they play in without looking it up) were handed that unlucky card along with Viktoria Plzen (likewise). The blue half of Manchester instead drew out German side Bayern Munich, Spanish qualifiers Villareal and Italian side Napoli (who finished 3rd in Serie A) and despite a few tricky games, I would suggest they probably fancy their chances of not only qualifying but also winning the group outright. Chelsea then were probably handed what would be the Group of Death against Valencia (which would involve an immediate return for Juan Mata to his old club), Bayer Leverkusen and Genk. Though having said that Group D looks rather juicy too with Real Madrid, Lyon, Ajax, and Dinamo Zagreb all drawn out together. Here's a full look at the groups that was drawn out by the footballing legends Luis Figo, Bobby Charlton, Rudd Gullit and Lothar Matthaus ; Group A: Bayern Munich, Villarreal, MAN CITY, Napoli Group B: Inter Milan, CSKA Moscow, Lille, Trabzonspor Group C: MAN UTD, Benfica, Basle, Otelul Galati Group D: Real Madrid, Lyon, Ajax, Dinamo Zagreb Group E: CHELSEA, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, Genk Group F: ARSENAL, Marseille, Olympiakos, Borrusia Dortmund Group G: FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit St Petersburg, Apoel FC Group H: Barcelona, AC Milan, BATE Borisov, Viktoria Plzen
