Crystal Palace Transfers: 13 Players Alan Pardew Is Definitely Signing

Silly season is well and truly upon us.

The first week of January is over. You€™ve taken down the Christmas decorations and you€™ve eaten that last bit of stilton that was stinking out your fridge. There€™s only two questions on everyone€™s minds at this time of year €“ how can I shift that Christmas bulge and who on earth is that player we€™ve been linked with? January is a notoriously difficult transfer window to predict due to the fact that selling clubs are unwilling to sell small and buying clubs are unwilling to buy big. All this leads to a feast of rumours and supposition that wouldn€™t be acceptable in any other journalistic form €“ unless discussing Jeremy Corbyn€™s shadow cabinet reshuffle of course. In Alan Pardew€™s FA Cup pre-match press conference on 7th January he was pretty scathing, stating: "I€™ve seen all the names that have been linked with us and not one of them is true. Somebody€™s giving out some false information. It would be stupid of me to be say who is in the frame. We are looking at one or two names, but the names that have been linked with us are not them." Still, there€™s no harm in having a look at the THIRTEEN players Palace are 100% definitely buying this January.

13. Benik Afobe (Wolves)

Palace need a striker, Benik Afobe is a striker and according to the Express that€™s enough for the club so they are planning a £10 million swoop for former Arsenal man. Afobe has scored 23 goals in 48 appearances since signing for Wolves in January 2015 Palace will have to beat Championship high flyers Derby to the 22 year old€™s signature if they are going to bring him to Selhurst Park.
