Everton 2-0 Arsenal: Naismith WAS Offside

Scottish attacker compounds Wenger's misery from an offside position.

After making hard work of their opening day game against Southampton, Arsenal are proving that concerns over their defensive abilities might well be spot on against Everton, as the Merseysiders raced into a first half two goal lead at Goodison Park. And while there was no arguing with Coleman's first headed goal, there will be some serious questions over the linesman for the second goal, which looked suspiciously offside. Last week's scorer Steven Naismith latched on to a through ball from Romelu Lukaku after good work from the £28m man, but replays showed that he had started his run from beyond the last man, which the linesman missed. https://vine.co/v/MLFrx9UQQEO There will surely be an inquest now, with Arsene Wenger unlikely to accept the fact that his side have simply been supremely unlucky. Wenger will be disappointed to have conceded twice, especially as Arsenal started the game so brightly, and time will now tell whether he can drag a better second half performance out of his side. Can Arsenal pull it back?
