Everton Transfer News: Leroy Fer £8 Million Deal Agreed

TeamTalk Toffees boss David Moyes has successfully fended off interest from a number of other European clubs for his signature, with the player set to move to Goodison Park in an £8 million deal after undergoing a standard medical and agreeing personal terms. Nicknamed "The Bouncer" due to his imposing stature and physical strength, Fer started his career at Feyenoord before joining Twente in 2011. He has been capped twice by his country, and made headlines last year when he splashed out £22,000 on a horse for his girlfriend, only to find she could not keep it due to her living in a block of flats. The arrival of Fer is bound to prompt speculation over the future of Marouane Fellaini in some quarters, though is unlikely to result in the Belgian's departure, according to Sky sources. Fellaini has attracted several suitors including Manchester United and City with a series of impressive performances this season, and despite the heavily reported £22 million buy-out clause inserted in his contract, he is unlikely to leave this month and will instead stay until at least the end of the season.
