Everton take on Liverpool in this afternoon’s Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. Kick-of in this mouth-watering Premier League tie is at 1.30pm and the match will be screened live on Sky Sports 1.
Here’s the team news ahead of the game;
Blues manager David Moyes is hopeful that right-back Tony Hibbert and star midfielder Marouane Fellaini are fit for today’s game. The latter missed last weekend’s draw with Queens Park Rangers because of a knee problem, while Hibbert’s calf injury has kept him on the sidelines for over a month.
Darron Gibson’s thigh injury rules him out, whilst playmaker Steven Pienaar serves his one-match ban for his controversial red-card at Loftus Road last weekend.
For Liverpool, boss Brendan Rodgers will continue to monitor the fitness of Jose Reina who has a hamstring problem he picked up on international duty for Spain. He missed the win over Reading last Saturday and the Reds’ Europa League victory over Anzhi Makhachkala, but has returned to training. Brad Jones will continue to deputise if Reina is unfit or not called upon.
Martin Kelly (knee), Lucas Leiva (thigh) and Fabio Borini (foot) remain sidelined as Brendan Rodgers has no fresh injury concerns.
