FA Cup Draw - Man City And Chelsea To Clash In Fifth Round

Last season's FA Cup finalists Manchester City will take on Chelsea in what represents the stand-out tie of the fifth round. Arsenal will also take on Liverpool at the Emirates in another mouth-watering affair, while holders Wigan Athletic will travel to Cardiff City. Man City narrowly prevailed over Watford on Saturday to come from behind and win 4-2 and will now take on Chelsea, who saw off Stoke this afternoon. City will be hoping to keep up their quadruple dream when the two sides meet but now face a huge obstacle to overcome if they are to achieve the historic feat. The Citizen's clash with Chelsea will come two or three days before they host Barcelona in the Champions League. In another blockbuster tie, Arsenal will play host to Liverpool, with Arsene Wenger looking to end his side's near-decade long wait for a trophy. This also represents a tough run of fixtures for the Gunners, who play Liverpool and Man United in the league, the Reds again in the FA Cup and Bayern Munich in Europe in the space of 12 days. Meanwhile, one of Sheffield United or Fulham will take on either Nottingham Forest or Preston North End, with each of those four sides still to fight out a replay, while Brighton will host Hull. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Cardiff face holders Wigan in Wales, Sheffield Wednesday were drawn against Charlton, and Sunderland will entertain Southampton. In another intriguing fixture, Everton manager Roberto Martinez will meet his former side Swansea, who travel to Goodison Park. Each of these games will take place on the weekend of the 15th/16th February.
