Lazio Accuse QPR Of Attempting To Hijack Ravel Morrison Deal

The controversial youngster never does things the easy way, does he?

Ravel Morrison has held talks with QPR, despite having already signed a pre contract agreement with Lazio, according to reports from the Italian club. Morrison, who agreed to join the Serie A side before his contract was terminated by West Ham United in February, is set to officially move to the Stadio Olympico on July 1. However, in a Daily Mail report, the Italian club are 'furious' with the Championship side because they are attempting to turn the head of the 22-year-old, who has suffered a stuttering career so far.
The attacking midfielder has had stints loan with Birmingham City, Cardiff City and QPR, but most significantly was part of the Manchester United youth set-up. Former boss Sir Alex Ferguson labelled the then England youth international as "the best talent" he had ever seen. Despite the high praise, Morrison suffered off-the-pitch problems that led to West Ham manager Sam Allardyce cutting short his time at Upton Park. Having trained with Lazio ahead of his proposed move, it looks like the Manchester-born player may have scuppered the opportunity to play Champions League football if the alleged talks did take place. Morrison enjoyed promotion to the Premier League with QPR back in 2014 under Harry Redknapp's stewardship, but relegation in May means the London club will have to start all over again and current boss Chris Ramsey will be hoping to have the tricky schemer on board. They may well struggle to work around Lazio's legally binding agreement with Morrison though, especially with the Italian giants hoping to produce a similar story to that of Paul Pogba's.
