Liverpool Transfer News: Real Madrid To Bid £40 Million For Luis Suarez

The Sun, Real Madrid are plotting a £40 million bid for Arsenal summer target Luis Suarez. The Gunners made a shocking bid of £30 million for the unhappy Liverpool striker on Monday, which was quickly rejected by the Anfield club. The Spanish giants are now set to make a bid for the Uruguayan in hopes they can land the striker and hijack any potential deal with Arsenal. Real president Florentino Perez hopes to continue the big spending having already splashed out on Malaga youngster Isco for a fee of £23 million to help new manager Carlo Ancelotti compete for La Liga and the Champions League better than they did last season under Jose Mourinho. Quoted via The Sun, Suarez said;

€œMy agent is in charge, he knows what I want. It is good to know I am valued by teams like Arsenal. Now there are two or three options and the club knows.€
€œThere are no other offers yet, but Liverpool know exactly what is going on and what I want.€
The controversial forward scored 30 goals last season making him one of the hottest targets of the summer. According to Suarez's comments printed in The Sun, he will return to Merseyside for pre-season training on July 21st... unless of course his wish to move away is granted and he joins another club.
