In the reflective chaos of Arsenal Football Club’s standard summer transfer debacle; it could go unnoticed that Liverpool are trying to covertly ship out the butt of every Premier League joke for the last 18 months.
With transfer rumours suggesting that Andy Carroll, one time the heir to Alan Shearer and the most gloriously haired man in the North who now plies his trade as Liverpool bench warmer and reason for Newcastle’s success, could be shipped out on loan. We here at WhatCulture Towers do not only see this news as Liverpool covering their blushes but as a great chance for Andy Carroll to revitalise his career and bring that well loved shine back to his locks.
So here are 5 reasons Andy Carroll should leave Liverpool; it’s the best for everyone.
1. Brendan Rogers’ Tactics Won’t Suit Him
Whilst Andy Carroll fits the bill of a ‘classic British No. 9’ being big, brutish, in possession of a large forehead and a love affair with alcohol; that isn’t the a-typical kind of forward Brendan Rogers will want to use in his team of technically adept passers who enjoy walking the ball in to the net.
A large forward to lump the ball to isn’t the archetypal strategy for a man who bases his football on technical ability and if you ignore considerations that this makes most of Liverpool’s team redundant it makes Andy Carroll fruitless in the squad about to be developed.
Andy Carroll is not a bad player, he proved at Newcastle that if his strengths are utilised properly then he can be a real threat, but will he get that at a team who don’t have a soul focus? Whose focus is passing and slowly building the play by team unity. Not the individual strength of an individual, who can just as much fall over as well as rocket the ball near the net and have commentators saying ‘he’s back’.
In the right set-up he could be a real threat, he wasn’t in that set up under Dalglish whose tactics were akin to putting him on the pitch and hoping her turned in to a £35 million player and he won’t be in that set up under Brendan Rogers.

Andy carrol Will never make it at liverpool now that Brendan is in charge.
Lets get things right Liverpool sold torres, And the Yanks wanted to show face that they was here to do business , And told camolli and dalglish to spend big. To impress the fans !!.and they didnt care who they spent part of the 50 million on they got from torres. And what i am stating here as come from somebody inside the club. Big Andy is basicly a mid table player , As is Downing and henderson And Charlie Adam. Kenny and camolli bought a load of mid table players . Thats why we finished 8th, Brendan will buy players cheaper , that will play in a system that will give us attacking football and score goals , We dont need a big centre foreward , just look at most of the European teams , do they play with big centre foreward up front
You know nothing you muppet!!!! AC Milan, Barca, Athletico Bilbao and Real Madrid have all played with and have been successful with a big centre forward!!! Andy Carrol is a good player and and is good with the ball at his feet, he has scored most of his goals with his feet! As for the author of this so called story I think this should be filed under fiction! Luke Stevenson you should be ashamed of yourself with articals like this you should be working for The News of The World becuse its lies like this that got them shut down.
tell me the big centre forewards barcelona play with? tell me the big centre foreward real madrid play with ? do you mean in the 1980 S? SORRY Not a Muppet just a fact , thats why all British teams are well behind all european countries , Because they can only play one direction. Why do you think rooney cant play the England game , Because Man united play the european game!!. Thats why Liverpool finished 8th! because King kenny was playing and signing the players that where middle of the table players, hey!! its 2012 not 1990 0r 1980 the game has progressed . like the world has! look at barcelona and spain you dont need front men!! just a good system.
Steve
Chill out man.. yes, your right but not on the Big Centre Forward (BCF). at the present, Barcelona and Spain have a good football system. tika-taka football by Barcelona and Spain is an improved version South American football keep on the ground style instead of being individual on the ball, they add european style of play with team work, pass and move also lots of killer ball which makes it ticks.
It true that BCF is an old fashioned football but it has its own purpose. Barcelona and spain is very weak with air to air challenge, so here’s come the role of BCF.
The only reason why BCF not fully utilized is because the team style of play. Take England for example, they play direct pass and mostly long ball which limit the attack.(in other words they like to play defensive and counter attack using BCF as target men to get the long pass, hold and then attack. What makes it worse is that the counter attack is not swift and quick enough just like vs Italy in Euro 2012.)
Okay, back to the topic.. Spain can be beaten if the opposition team plays like them and using BCF to dominate the air battle, it will much better.
I completely agree with Stephen Maxwell, but I think that Andy has what it takes to be our main striker. He is an excellent player and has found his form back. He is strong and cold defenders off. I really hope we keep the guy and just complement his attributes with other players. Andy is a really good player and I am sure he can work with the tacts Rodgers brings in.
Okay.. settle down. Right now Andy is not fit to play BR tactics but we need to keep him no matter what, loan him to Milan. They wanted him and at the same time I believe he will improved to be much better player. Playing with Zlatan at Milan will surely take him to similar mould as the Swedish international and will eventually profit us, our own Liverpool’s Zlatan version which I think will fit BR style of play.
Right now, what makes him unable to play BR tactis and his weakness are :-
1) Poor dribble skills making him unable to keep the ball; delaying the attack and vulnerable to counter attack.
2) Superb heading ability, win most of his air-to-air challenge but unable to direct/control the ball to team mates etc. Heading control should be improved.
3) Very poor off ball movement. Either the guy is lazy or lack of stamina.
4) Always out of position due to his off ball movement.
5) His shooting skills still limited. He can hit the ball fast and powerful but no control, always rushing and rarely using his feet to score. As we know goal conversion mostly comes from feet and that’s why they called it football.
Most of his defects only the basic of football, if he can overcame this he will be a great threat to the opposition team. So, do not sell him. Loan him to Milan or help him progress at the club and give him the chance to improve.
