Man City Transfer News: Isco Tops Manuel Pellegrini's 5-Man Transfer Shortlist?

Daily Star. And according to the same report, his top target Isco has already agreed to join him in leaving Malaga at the end of the season. Pellegrini is free to join City having reached an agreement with the La Liga side to forego the remaining two years of his contract, meaning the ex-Premier League champions won't have to pay any compensation to Malaga. Their dire financial situation means they will waive his £3.4 million release clause so that they won't have to pay the £8.4 million he is owed on the remaining two years of his deal. Pellegrini will waste no time when he arrives at the Etihad and has already identified five key players he wants at the club. One of those is Isco, the 21-year old Spanish attacking midfielder who is considered one of the hottest young prospects in Europe. City have reportedly tabled a player-plus-cash deal of £16.9 million plus Spain youngster Denis Suarez, but Malaga are said to prefer a straight cash deal, something of which City are prepared to offer. Other transfer targets are said to include Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria, plus Sevilla stars Jesus Navas and Geoffrey Kondogbia. Borussia Dortmund€™s £32 million-rated winger Marco Reus - who has helped guide the German outfit to the final of this season's Champions League - is also understood to make up the five-man shortlist as Pellegrini plans a major overhaul of City's midfield this summer.
