Manchester City will be hoping striker Sergio Aguero is fit enough to return from the hamstring injury that has ruled him out since New Year’s Day, whilst Samri Nasri is back from suspension.
Midfielder Yaya Toure is at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Fulham will welcome back Dimitar Berbatov after the Bulgarian sat out his side’s dramatic win in the FA Cup replay with Blackpool midweek.
Steve Sidwell is fit again after a hamstring problem, but Mahamadou Diarra and Kerim Frei are out.
Match Preview
Last weekend, City manager Roberto Mancini had to sit and wait nervously as Manchester United extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to ten points. This time though, it is the Italian who has the opportunity to land a psychological blow over his rivals as his side play 24 hours before United take on Tottenham.
A win here would cut United’s lead to five points, but his side’s 3-0 win over Fulham at home last season was only their first victory over the Cottagers at the Etihad Stadium in five matches.
Former United old boy Dimitar Berbatov will be looking to do his old side a favour by scoring a winning goal in the 90th minute. Likely? Maybe not, but Fergie can hope.
