Man City vs Norwich - Team News, Match Preview & Likely Line-Ups

Date: Saturday, November 2 Venue: Etihad Stadium Kick-Off: 15:00 Can Manchester City continue their revival with another much-needed win against Norwich City on Saturday?

Team News

Manchester City could be without striker Stevan Jovetic and defender Vincent Kompany for the visit of Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday. Jovetic picked up a knock in the mid-week win over Newcastle in the Capital One Cup, while Kompany faces a race against time to prove his match fitness having missed the last two games with a thigh injury. Norwich are sweating over the availability of Nathan Redmond and Robert Snodgrass, who picked up knocks against Manchester United midweek. Alex Tettey, Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Elliot Bennett are slight doubts for the trip to the Etihad. (EPLindex)

Key Stats

Sergio Agüero has scored four goals in three Premier League starts against Norwich. Norwich are the only team yet to score a goal in the first half hour of a Premier League game this season. Norwich are the last away team to taste victory in the Barclays Premier League at the Etihad, winning 3-2 on the final day of the 2012-13 season. The Citizens have scored in each of their last 54 Premier League home games. (eurosport)

Likely Line-Ups

Man City Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Nastasic, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Toure, Nasri, Silva, Negredo, Aguero Norwich Ruddy, Martin, Turner, Bassong, Olsson, Howson, Fer, Redmond, Elmander, Pilkington, Wolfswinkel

Match Preview

Manchester City will be looking to bounce back from their defeat against Chelsea in their last Premier League game when they play host to struggling Norwich. City have made a slow start to their league campaign, currently sitting in seventh place, having won three of their last six matches in the league. They lost their last game thanks to a dreadful mistake from Joe Hart, who might well find himself dropped for this clash, with No.2 Costel Pantilimon impressing against Newcastle in the League Cup midweek. Things are hardly much better for Norwich, either, with the Canaries managing to win only two of their first nine league matches so far this season. Manager Chris Hughton will be feeling the pressure with his side occupying one of the relegation spots, and I'm tipping them to stay there this weekend following a thumping City win. I expect a backlash here. Prediction 4-0
