Man City vs West Brom - Team News, Match Preview & Likely Line-Ups

Venue: Etihad Stadium Date: Tuesday 7th May K/o: 19:45 BST

Team News

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is expected to rotate his squad for tonight's visit of West Brom to the Etihad. With an FA Cup Final to prepare for on Saturday, many of City's big guns are expected to be rested. Yaya Toure is unlikely to play having been taken off as a precaution after picking up a knock at the weekend and is unlikely to be risked. West Brom will be without suspended striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, so fellow striker Peter Odemwingie, who was an unused substitute in the weekend defeat by Wigan, is in contention for a first appearance since March.

Key Stats

City are unbeaten in the last six meetings with the Baggies (W5, D1). Their last defeat came on 21 December 2008 and saw City remain in the Premier League drop zone. Ten-man City needed two goals in the last 10 minutes from Edin Dzeko to win the corresponding fixture at the Hawthorns 2-1. Only arch-rivals Manchester United have a better home record than City this season. United have lost more games (W15, L2) but have picked up 45 points to the Blues' 42 (W13, D3, L2). West Brom have only won three of their last 11 games on their travels; however, two of those wins have come in their last five outings. (BBC)
