Man Utd Transfer News: Dimitar Berbatov Can Leave For £10 Million

Manchester United’s Dimitar Berbatov could see out his final year at Old Trafford despite being offered to clubs around Europe.

Mail Online, Manchester United have told the Bulgarian striker that he can leave the club if he wishes although no club is prepared to meet United's £10 million valuation for the player. The 31-year-old signed for the Red Devils back in 2008 for an astronomical fee of £31 million, although with the addition of Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez to the first team in recent years, Berbatov has been demoted to the bench and rarely started games. Malaga and Paris St-Germain are both keen on the player although no bid has been made for the former Spurs striker yet. Despite reports suggesting the player is unhappy at the club, Sir Alex has stated that he has not been treated unfairly:

€œNothing has happened with Dimitar and he'll join the tour to South Africa and China. He's a fantastic footballer. It wasn't a great season for him last season, partly because I settled more with Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck... and Chicharito.€
He added:
€œI don't think I treated Dimitar unfairly but he can feel disappointed that he didn't get more football. He's a fantastic talent.€
Berbatov may be looking to move away from Old Trafford but until a bid is made the player is still a red.
