The 23-year-old former Borussia Dortmund player completed his Manchester move on Friday after passing his medical. Speculation and excitement has been building with United fans keen to see their new man in action and legions of fans had been asking the club what shirt number he would wear after it was unclear whether he would become the No.7 at the club with Michael Owen being released. Even with the No.7 shirt free, Kagawa has told the media that he will not accept the number if offered: "I've just joined the team and haven't accomplished anything yet, I want to make a name for myself on my own terms. I don't know which numbers are free, I gave them my requests, but they aren't as important a number No. 7."Kagawa seems confident in making his own impact and it looks like he doesnt want to be compared to the likes of George Best, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo, icons of one of the most famous shirts in football.
