According to the Telegraph, Manchester United target Lucas Moura has snubbed the Red Devils and instead completed his move to Paris St Germain. This comes after Sky Sports News announced the deal would be completed sometime today. PSG have confirmed that they have agreed a deal to sign the Sao Paulo midfielder despite being a main target for Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson. The 19-year-old will stay at the Brazilian side until January, after that Moura will link up the Parisian side on a four-and-a-half-year deal. It was understood that Moura would have a medical at Manchester United this week after Sir Alex left his side to return back to Old Trafford. This bizarre action by the Scottish manager seems to be due to the possible signing of Robin van Persie, which is awaiting confirmation. PSG released a statement on their website:
Paris St Germain and Sao Paulo FC have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Lucas Rodriguez Moura Da Silva. The player and Paris St Germain have signed a contract from January 2013 to June 2017. Lucas will join Paris St Germain and his new team-mates in January 2013 for the second half of the 2012-13 season.Moura will join the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Thiago Silva, who have all recently signed for the club. With Moura costing around 45 million, the deal takes the spending of Carlo Ancelottis team to over 150 million.
