Man Utd Transfer News: Moyes Wants £15 Million Rated Marco Van Ginkel
The Express, Manchester United are ready to make a £15 million bid for Dutch youngster, Marco van Ginkel. Van Ginkel has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks but new Red Devils boss, David Moyes, hopes to hijack any potential move to Chelsea. Dutch giants Ajax are also said to be interested in the player but have been put off by Van Ginkel's large fee. United scout Jim Lawlor has travelled to the European Under 21s championship to analyse the 20-year-old and was reportedly pleased with what he saw of the young midfielder. However complicating a potential deal for Van Ginkel's signing is Chelsea having first refusal for any Vitesse Arnhem players due to the affiliated link between the two clubs. Van Ginkel appeared in 33 games for the Dutch club last season, managing to score eight goals. The youngster also played in Holland U21s 3-2 win over Germany U21 as well as 5-1 victory over the Russian U21 team. David Moyes has already secured the signing of Uruguayan youngster, Guillermo Varela this summer. The Express says his main target is the signature of Barcelona midfielder and former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, with a big money deal for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay progressing.
