Man Utd Transfer News: Robert Lewandowski "Agrees To Join Bayern Munich"

Express. The Polish international scored all four goals in last night's routing of Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League and became the first player in history to score four times against the Spanish giants in Europe. It was believed Sir Alex Ferguson was keen on bringing him to Old Trafford in the summer as he looks to rebuild for next season's defence of the Premier League title, but Bayern Munich have now reportedly stolen a march on their rivals by pipping them to the post. According to a report by Spiegel Online, the web version of German weekly news magazine Der Spiegel, Lewandowski has now agreed to move to the newly crowned German champions at the end of the season and will follow Mario Gotze in leaving Dortmund for their Bundesliga rivals. The news will come as a bitter blow for both Manchester United and Dortmund. United had identified him as a potential replacement for Wayne Rooney while Dortmund will clearly be pained in allowing two of their star players join their main domestic rivals in the space of three days. A transfer fee has yet to be agreed between the two sides, although a ‚25 million (£21.2 million) offer is expected to be made in the coming days.
