Man Utd Transfer News: Robin Van Persie Latest - Is He Coming To Old Trafford?

Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie will play for The Gunners in their friendly in Cologne tomorrow.

The Mirror that Manchester United's attempts to sign the forward have stalled. The Euro 2012 Dutch sensation has trained with his Arsenal team-mates in Germany all week, seven days which have gone by without any further developments in his potential move to Old Trafford. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made it known loud and clear that he is does not want to sell Van Persie, especially to a Premier League rival, and United boss Sir. Alex Ferguson has yet to come back in with an improved offer from their first a fortnight ago that was believed to be under £10 million. Arsenal want at least £20 million for their prized asset but United aren't willing to match that figure which could yet mean that Van Persie begins next season at the Emirates. There has been renewed optimism in North London that Arsenal may be able to convince Van Persie to stay as the club have shown more ambition in the transfer market than usual, snapping up Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla with more apparently to come. Wenger has reportedly been impressed by Van Persie's training and as of right now he is likely to start their opening Premier League match against Sunderland in 7 days time.
