Man Utd Transfer News: Winger Set For AC Milan?

Is Manchester United's flying Portuguese winger Nani about to head to Italy?

TalkSport, Manchester United's Portuguese winger Nani is the subject of increased interest from AC Milan, who are stepping up their efforts to sign him, according to reports in Italy. The Portuguese international midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club recently, with strong rumours of a £25m late summer move to big spending Zenit St Petersburg suggested by the Daily Mail. According to that same report Nani has grown increasingly disillusioned with life at Old Trafford after failing to agree a new contract in the summer, despite expectations, and being pushed out of the first-team. The flying winger, who signed from Sporting Lisbon back in 2007 has one-and-a-half years left to run on his current United deal and Talksport reports that talks of a new deal have now stalled - and Nani's situation wasn't helped by his involvement in a training-ground bust-up with reserve-team player Davide Petrucci. Nani hasn't played since United's disappointing 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hostpur in September, after being dropped for both the Champions League against CFR Cluj and the away victory over Newcastle at St James Park. Talksport's report cites La Gazzetta dello Sport as the source of claims that Milan have made contact with Nani's agent Jorge Mendes ahead of making a move for the winger in the summer. What do you think United fans? Is it time to see the back of Nani? Who would you like to see brought in to replace him?
