According to Tribalfootball.com, Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva has apparently told Lucas Moura to join Manchester United this season despite interest from other clubs.
Lucas Moura and Rafael are both part of Brazil’s Olympic team, which might give Rafael the chance to convince Moura that Old Trafford is the best option for his next club.
Rafael was asked after Brazil’s 2-0 win over Great Britain if he was excited at the prospect of playing with Moura on a regular basis, Rafael said:
“Yes,Yes! I have told Lucas he should come to Manchester United”
While Rafael seems extremely enthusiastic about the possibility of Rafael heading to Manchester United, his club are yet to reach any deal with the player’s current club Sao Paulo.
As reported by ESPN, Sir Alex has already had a bid of around £25m rejected and the Sao Paulo president Juvenal Juvencio has expressed his attempts to keep Moura at the club. Earlier this week Brazilian news agency Globo Esporte quoted a source close to the club hierarchy as saying: “Football is about winning titles and there is nothing more important. He will be an important player in any titles this club may win.”
Manchester United have already signed two players this season but with Moura, Leighton Baines and Robin Van Persie all linked to major transfers in to the club, Sir Alex could still be extremely busy in the transfer market as he sets to begin the battle with City for the title in less than month.

It will be a great difference if lucas moura joins man utd
This would be a very good signing but I am sceptical of that they want more than £30 million for him. Signing him would be a better option than signing van Persie or Modric who are older and over priced. We do need one more signing but after seeing the young players on tour it is looking good for the future.

We got to go all out to sign this Guy, from what I’ve seen of him, under fergies guidance he has the potential to better ronaldo, forget van persie, to old to expensive, Moura is going to be a great, his signing will bring us back to the glory days for many seasons, van persie may never be able repeat the season he just had and at this stage of his career he wont have many more chances to do so
lucas moura good signing, i think van persie needs to be signed because we need good strikers now berbatov wants out, maybe even luca modric but mainly maura or RVP!!!!!
are you all nuts??!! this is the biggest waste of money i have seen for a while. i agree modric and van persie are too old and expensive but this guy is unproven in the pl, will cost at least 35m and is already on 100k a week at 19. for that united could get sahin and m’vila and have done with our midfield problems for years. also moura plays in the same position as kagawa. utter waste of money.

i think he would be a great signing but it is crazy money, if we dont buy top class players we will get left behind!
all the top teams buy big every year and utd have to do the same
i also feel that he would become a top class player under fergie,but he would need to change his position to suit utd as we have enough wingers, maybe play him in a Messi role he has that much potential?
more importantly we really need a top class midfield general to hold and control our game, we lack class in this area, we really are lacking in this department, Moutinho is the player we need to move onto the next level and should be our main buy?
