Newcastle United: 6 Reasons Why Demba Ba Will Leave

Here's 10 reasons why Newcastle don't have a chance of keeping him next season.

1. Transfer Clause

As Spurs boss Harry Redknapp so gleefully announced at a Tottenham press conference that had NOTHING to do with Newcastle or Ba, our Senegalese number 19 has a very enticing transfer clause for other clubs who are now rubbing their hands in excitement for a prized asset that will come very reasonable to them. It is being widely reported that Ba's transfer clause at the club is £7.5 million. This was the deal that manager Alan Pardew and the club agreed to last summer when they were able land Ba for £50,000 a week, despite the player wanting a bigger salary. So up until July 31st, any club that offers £7.5 million will find their offer instantly accepted by Newcastle and they will be able to open terms with Ba. With the likes of big spenders Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain circling and able to offer Ba at least double his wages and Champions League football for the new campaign, it doesn't seem likely that Ba would even think twice about leaving Newcastle. The club can't compete with those clubs in the salary department and overall package, no matter how high their ambitions are for the future.
